Did you know that many products found in your home are potentially hazardous substances? They consist of chemical compounds that can poison, corrode, explode, or ignite when not handled properly. Pesticides, batteries, car cleaners, and paints are a few examples of items that are considered household hazardous waste (HHW) because they threaten human and environmental health when disposed of improperly. Mt. View Sanitary District partners to support a Household Hazardous Waste Collection Facility available for residents at 4797 Imhoff Place in Martinez that is open Monday – Saturday, 7 am – 2 pm. Mt. View Sanitary District is fully committed to providing accessible facilities, elements and
