The MVSD Wetlands Education Program provides free field trips and classroom programs to elementary students in Contra Costa County. The program benefits the community as well as the county's fish and wildlife by increasing awareness, appreciation, and understanding of the functions and values of wetland habitats and the wildlife they support. The program is supported through grant funding and private donations to the Mt. Diablo Wetlands Fund.
